Because your privacy is important to us, we have created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our commitment to privacy to our customers and users of the software. This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Moss Bay Software uses, maintains and discloses information collected from its customers and users of the software.

scanned documents

The user can direct the software to scan documents using the user’s scanner.  These associated files are stored locally on the user’s computer, and never transmitted to Moss Bay Software or anyone else.

debug log

To aid in debugging, the software stores a plain text debug log on the user’s computer.  The software never transmits this log file to Moss Bay Software or anyone else.  In the case of a support request, the user may be asked to email this log to support personnel.

microsoft store

This software uses the online Microsoft Store and its related APIs for distribution, updates, registration, and analytics.  This may require sending general and personal information to Microsoft.  The Microsoft Store is governed by its own separate terms and privacy policy which are available from the Microsoft website here: https://www.microsoft.com/storedocs/terms-of-sale

Though we make every effort to preserve your privacy, we may need to disclose whatever data we have when required by law, or if we believes that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, subpoena or other legal process. how long we retain your data

The software transmits no data to Moss Bay Software, so we have no data to retain.  Other data is stored in files that are named and saved by the user.  These files remain on the user’s computer until the user deletes them.

The user has full control over the data collected and stored on the user’s computer by the software.
